Libanons nya regering godkänner att Hizbollah behåller sin vapenarsenal. Detta står i strid med FN resolution 1701 som antogs i samband med att kriget 2006 avslutades. Enligt resolutionen skulle Hizbollah avväpnas.
Det finns ingen i Libanon som är stark nog att avväpna organisationen och FN-styrkorna vägrar göra det.
Hizbollahs ledare Nasrallah sa i måndags att väpnad kamp är enda sättet att få tillbaka arabiskt land från Israel.
Det är således bara en tidsfråga innan nästa krig bryter ut mellan Israel och Hizbollah.

This surrender of power to Hizbullah brought renewed Israeli warnings that it will hold the Lebanese government directly responsible for any attack by Hizbullah from Lebanese soil.
