Israel accepterade idag formellt Kvartettens förslag om att uppta förhandlingarna med palestinierna utan förhandsvillkor. Israel har dock reservationer mot en del av förslagen och kommer att ta upp dem i eventuella förhandlingar.
De palestinska myndigheterna har ännu inte tagit ställning till Kvartettens förslag. De säger att det finns positivia element i det men vill ha en del klarlägganden innan de tar några beslut

Israel welcomes the Quartet's call for direct negotiations between the parties without preconditions

Israel welcomes the Quartet's call for direct negotiations between the parties without preconditions, as called for by both President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
While Israel has some concerns, it will raise them at the appropriate time. Israel calls on the Palestinian Authority to do the same and to enter into direct negotiations without delay.
