Tidigt på söndagsmorgonen dödades en person och fyra skadades när en grupp på 15 judar som besökte Josefs grav i Nablus besköts av en palestinsk polisman.

En skribent i de palestinska myndigheternas officiella dagstidning säger att det kristna påskfirandet i Jerusalem förlorat sin palestinska prägel. Detta eftersom Israel stänger gränsen mellan Israel och västbanken under det judiska påskhelgen och därmed försvårar för palestinierna att ta sig till Jerusalem, och samtidigt kommer många utländska turister till Jerusalem under påsken.
Däremot har den palestinska prägeln på högtiden bevarats på områdena som lyder under de palestinska myndigheterna. Som exempel nämns i artikeln att kristna ungdomar marcherat och ropat slagord som:Judar, judar! Er högtid är en högtid för apor medan vår högtid är Messias högtid!
Det bör påpekas att det hör ihop med muslimsk tradition, inte kristen, att jämföra judar med apor och svin. Därför är det möjligt att artikeln är en propaganda artikel utan verklighetesbakgrund.

Qasr Al-Yahud Easter Baptism Ceremony Assisted by IDF, Civil Administration
Last week, (Wednesday, April 20th), 3,000 Syriac Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, and Coptic pilgrims and bishops participated in a traditional baptism ceremony for the upcoming Easter holiday at the Qasr Al-Yahud baptism site in the Jordan Valley. The pilgrims were accompanied by IDF officers and soldiers from the Jordan Valley Division as well as Civil Administration officers.
