Jordanian Journalist In Omani Daily: In Middle Ages, Jewish Scholars Instructed To Use Non-Jews' Blood To Prepare Matza; Today They Incite Soldiers To Murder Palestinians
In a July 9, 2017 article in the Omani daily Al-Watan, journalist Faiz Rashid, a Palestinian of Jordanian origin, repeated the medieval libel that the Jews murdered Christian children to use their blood to make matza, as well as the Damascus blood libel of 1840. Citing numerous antisemitic writings authored or translated over the years in the Arab world, Rasheed presented detailed descriptions of the Jews' alleged use of blood as part of this ritual. He added that, just as the Medieval Jewish scholars called for the murder of non-Jews, today's Jewish scholars incite Israeli soldiers to murder Palestinians. Rasheed described Israel as a "fascist entity" and rejected the possibility of making peace with it.

In a Friday sermon delivered at the Islamic Center of Davis in northern California on July 14, the center's Egyptian-born Imam Ammar Shahin said that the "wicked Jews" were prohibiting prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prayed to Allah to "liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the filth of the Jews." Imam Shahin also said: "Oh Allah, destroy them and do not spare their young or their elderly... Oh Allah, turn Jerusalem and Palestine into a graveyard for the Jews."

Speaking on Palestinian Authority TV on July 20, Al-Azhar University Professor of Islamic Law Ahmad Karima said that the Jewish tribes in Yathrib had plotted against the Prophet Muhammad and that "Allah told us about their transgressions – their slaying of prophets and their outstanding hostility." He further said that the "Zionist gang" was "raised on aggression, theft, and plundering" and that "armed jihad" should be waged against them.

In a July 21 Friday sermon delivered at the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the Al-Buss refugee camp in Lebanon, Sheikh Hassan Diab said that the Jews were prophet slayers who were transformed into apes and pigs by Allah after they incurred His wrath. "It is not surprising that they attack and close the Al-Aqsa Mosque," said Diab, who prayed that Allah would "destroy the Jews and their supporters" and "kill them down to the last one."

The Syrian-born Sheikh Harmoush, who has been living in the U.S. since the 1980s and received academic degrees in California and West Virginia, said that the Jews had concocted a plot to take over Palestine and would be demanding Mecca and Medina and "most of the Middle East" next. "Allah wants us to have jihad in our lives, no matter what and where we are," said Sheikh Harmoush. "Wake up, it is time to be a Muslim. Prayer is not the only thing," he said.

In it he cited an antisemitic hadith, according to which the Muslims would fight the Jews on Judgment Day, and prayed to Allah to "liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the filth of the Jews" and to "annihilate them down to the very last one," not sparing any of them. "Oh Allah, make this happen by our hands. Let us play a part in this," he prayed in the sermon, which was posted on the Davis Masjid YouTube channel.

In a July 21 Friday sermon, Sheikh Mahmoud Habbash, advisor to PA President Mahmoud Abbas on Religious and Islamic Affairs, directed a message toward the entire world, saying that world peace was in danger and that "if you do not act to rein in that racist aggression, which wants to ignite a religious war that will engulf the planet in its entirety... [you] will bite [your] fingers in regret for having been remiss." The sermon, in which he called upon all the Palestinian factions to unite and to "trample all [the Israeli] measures and metal detectors underfoot," was broadcast on the official Palestinian Authority TV channel.
