Abbas och Trump
Nabil Shaath, en av de palestinska ledarna säger att president Trumps krav att de palestinska myndigheterna skall upphöra med att betala lön åt terrorister som angripit Israel och judar är en galen begäran.
Trump uttryckte också vid mötet med Abbas en önskan om att de palestinska myndigheterna skall upphöra med uppvigling hatpropaganda mot Israel.
På det svarade Abbas att palestinierna uppfostrar sina barn till att leva i fred. Det var en ren lögn som det finns hur mycket bevis som helst för.

Hamas publicerade ett nytt program igår och har fått stor publicitet för tilltaget.Trots att inget i sak har ändrats i det nya programmet påstår rubriker världen runt att Hamas mildrat sin inställning till Israel.
SVT: Hamas mildrar tonen mot Israel
Enligt de nya stadgarna stödjer rörelsen en begränsad palestinsk stat inom 1967 års gränser. Tidigare har Hamas inte accepterat några kompromisser utan krävt att det palestinska territoriet ska sträcka sig från ”havet till floden”.
Men: Hamas säger fortfarande att Israels existens är olagligt och att Palestina som sträcker sig från Medelhavet till Jordanfloden skall befrias med våld. Det är varje palestinierns plikt att delta i jihad och befrielsen Palestina.

Premiärminister Netanyahus självständighetsdagshälsning
Regards from Jerusalem on Israel's Independence Day.
69 years ago, the State of Israel was founded. It was a moment of triumph for our people.
We had been scattered around the world for millennia. And then we returned to our ancient homeland, to build a safe haven, where we could live, and thrive.
Now, many doubted that this tiny State of Israel would survive. We were surrounded by hostile enemies, who attacked us again and again.
So perhaps, for some, this skepticism was warranted. But survive we did.
Much more than that. We thrived.
Today Israel is strong, democratic, prosperous. And I have no doubt that in the coming 69 years, Israel will continue to thrive, be strong and prosperous.
Our story is a story of hope, not just for the Jewish people, but for all of humanity.
We persevered through adversity against all odds.
Anyone fighting for a just cause, fighting against seemingly insurmountable odds, could draw inspiration from our story.
Happy Independence Day to all of our friends around the world.

Hela Palestina från Medelhavet till Jordan skall befrias men som ett första steg verkar man vara beredd att också acceptera en palestinsk stat på områdena öster om vapenstilleståndslinjen från 1949 med Jerusalem som huvudstad och med rätt för alla palestinska flyktingar och deras ättlingar att återvända till Israel.
Programmet innehåller också en hel del historieförfalskning, judarna har ingen historia i landet.

Israels självständighetsdag - UNESCO röstade igenom resolution som förnekar Israels rätt till Jerusalem
UNESCO (UNESCO’s Executive Board) röstade som väntat igenom ännu en resolution som förnekar Israels rätt till Jerusalem. Omröstningen skedde i dag på Israels självständighetsdag.
Det var Algeriet, Egypten, Libanon, Marocko, Oman, Qatar och Sudan som lade fram "Resolution om ockuperade Palestina" .
Av de 58 stater som hade rösträtt röstade 22 stater för resolutionen 10 emot och 23 avstod från att rösta, samt 3 var frånvarande.
De som röstade emot resolutionen var USA, Storbritannien, Italien, Nederländerna,Litauen, Grekland, Paraguai, Ukraina, Togo och Tyskland.
Sverige finns inte med bland dem som röstade emot och Finland är inte medlem i styrelsen.

Israel kommer ihåg dem som fallit och gläds över sin självständighet
Idag har man i Israel hedrat minnet av alla de 23544 personer som sedan 1860 har dött i terrorattacker eller stupat när de försvarat landet.
I kväll övergår det allvarliga firandet av dem som som fallit i strid i det glädjefyllda firandet av Israels självständighetsdag. Det är i år 69 år sedan Israel blev en självständig stat 1948.
