The PA’s ‘Equal Opportunities for Terrorist Murderers’ policy (PMW)

This morning, Israeli security forces arrested the terrorists suspected of murdering 25-year-old Yehuda Dimentman and injuring others in a shooting attack last Thursday.

The arrest of the terrorist murderers automatically invokes the full weight of the Palestinian Authority’s 2004 Law of Prisoners and Released Prisoners and implementing regulations.

According to the law (sec. 2), all terrorists “are a fighting sector, and an inseparable part of the Palestinian society.”

Section 7 of the law, together with sections 7 and 12 of PA Government Decision Number 23 of 2010 Regarding the Regulation of Payment of the Monthly Salary to the Prisoner, guarantees the terrorists a monthly salary from the PA, that begins on the day of their arrest and increases with time spent in prison (see chart below). Section 6 of the law adds that the PA will also provide the terrorists with monthly spending money and a clothing allowance, twice a year.

The terrorists arrested this morning are members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), an internationally designated terror organization. Irrelevant of their terror affiliation, as part of the PA’s ‘Equal Opportunities for Terrorist Murderers’ policy, the PA pays every terrorist prisoner including those who are members of PIJ, Hamas, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. The PA similarly does not care if the victims of terror were Israelis, Jews, or simply foreigners. The only relevant factor for entitlement to the huge PA terror reward package is that the recipient was a Palestinian terrorist arrested for his involvement in terror.

Yesterday marked 11 years since the murder of Christian US tourist Kristine Luken. Each of the two terrorists convicted for the murder of Kristine has been paid over $139,000, as a reward for the murder...

Key UN bodies that pronounce themselves on human rights and international law — including the General Assembly, the Human Rights Council, and the Commission on the Status of Women — fail to uphold founding UN principles of equality and universality.

The numbers alone reveal the UN’s irrational obsession with one nation. Even those who deem Israel deserving of criticism cannot dispute that this amounts to an extreme case of selective prosecution.

When universal standards are applied so selectively, they cease to become standards at all. And by disproportionately focusing on Israel to such an extreme degree, the UN neglects the plight of millions of human rights victims around the world.

PMW releases new report in Norwegian Parliament on PA/Fatah child education

Fatah, the ruling political movement of the Palestinian Authority (PA), runs a youth movement for Palestinian children ages 6-15 called the Lion Cubs and Flowers (for boys and girls respectively) which publishes a children’s magazine called Waed (the promise in Arabic). The magazine is published on the youth movement’s website and distributed at Fatah and PA activities and in PA schools.

Fatah's education of children through Waed is the antithesis of peace education. Whereas not all the material in the magazine promotes hatred of Israelis and Israel, all references to Israelis and Israel are hateful.

Waed’s fundamental messages are that Israelis are foreign colonialist invaders, and therefore, Israel has no right to exist. Palestinians led by Fatah will continue the heroic armed struggle until the defeated invaders leave. There is no hint of Israel's legitimacy, nor is there a possibility that Israel will coexist alongside a liberated Palestine, whose borders will include all of Israel.

...Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has examined Waed’s messages to young children about peace, Israel, Jews, and terror, as presented in the last 17 issues, starting with December 2014 and ending with September 2021. Waed reveals explicitly that:

- The PA and Fatah continue to reject Israel’s right to exist

- Palestinian terrorists, even murderers of civilians and children, are glorified by PA/Fatah as Palestinian heroes

- PA/Fatah anticipates a future Palestinian state that will replace all of Israel—accompanied by the removal of all Jews from the land—as the only just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

- PA/Fatah assures Palestinian children that a future world without Israel is inevitable

Waed is significant because it clearly shows how Fatah renders the past and present, as well as its vision of a future without Israel.

Israels premiärminister tal inför FN

Full text of Bennett’s UN speech: Iran’s nuclear program at a ‘watershed moment’ (TOI)

"In first speech at General Assembly, PM brands Iran president ‘the Butcher of Tehran,’ hails US ally and Abraham Accords, says his coalition drove Israel from ‘cliff… to safety’"

"...For the past three decades Iran has spread its carnage and destruction around the Middle East, country after country: Lebanon. Iraq. Syria. Yemen. And Gaza.

What do all these places have in common?

They are all falling apart. Their citizens — hungry and suffering. Their economies — collapsing.

Like the Midas touch, Iran’s regime has the “Mullah-touch.” Every place Iran touches, fails.

...Attacking Israel doesn’t make you morally superior. Fighting the only democracy in the Middle East doesn’t make you “woke.” Adopting clichés about Israel without bothering to learn the basic facts, well, that’s just plain lazy.

Every member state in this building has a choice. It’s not a political choice, but a moral one. It’s a choice between darkness and light..."

PA TV libel: The Jews are still trying “to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple in its place” as they did in 1969 arson (PMW)

- PA libel: The Al-Aqsa fire in 1969 was set by “the Jews”

- PLO Islamic-Christian Council about Australian Christian who set the fire in 1969: Rohan was an “extremist Israeli settler”

- Official PA daily: Arson in 1969 was “the greatest crime committed by the terrorist bodies in the history of Zionist Judaism and messianic Judaism... It was committed... by a crazy man who was blind with hatred and fanaticism, namely Rabbi Kakhakh”

Every year, the PA commemorates the burning of the pulpit of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969. And every year the PA repeats the libel that Jews set the fire.

In fact it was a man named Michael Rohan – an Australian Christian with a mental health disorder – who lit the fire in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969.

But such facts don't matter to the PA. Every year, the PA uses the occasion to demonize Israel and Jews by claiming Rohan was a Jew, and to add fuel to its own “fire” that the PA always keeps on the backburner: The libel that Israel/the Jews are continuously trying to “destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple in its place.”

You can always blame Israel! PA: Israel spreads weapons among Palestinians to fuel internal disputes (PMW)

"Spokesman of PA Security Forces demonizes Israel, claims Israel deliberately spreads weapons among Palestinians to fuel internal disputes and “get rid of confrontations that are part of the popular uprising against this occupation”

The Palestinian Authority customarily blames Israel for its own shortcomings. While there are almost 70,000 personnel in the PA Security Forces, it would seem that they don't spend time gathering the numerous illegal weapons, including machine guns, held by Palestinians. When these weapons are used for terror, the PA is silent. But when they are used for internal Palestinian conflicts, the PA reverts to its constant fallback position: Blame Israel!..."

30 European MPs call on states to drop UN conference tainted by antisemitism (UN Watch)

GENEVA, August 30, 2021 — A coalition of more than 30 members of parliament from across Europe and the UK today launched a global appeal, spearheaded by the Geneva-based non-governmental human rights group UN Watch, urging countries to pull out of the UN’s upcoming commemoration of a 2001 conference on racism that was plagued by virulent displays of  antisemitism. (See text of appeal and list of signatories below.)

The September 22nd follow-up meeting of the Durban Conference, named after the South African city where the first edition was held in 2001, is scheduled to bring together world leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Citing concerns over antisemitism, numerous countries have already announced they are boycotting what has become known as “Durban IV,” including Austria, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic. France, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the US...

Vad och vem kommer efter Abbas?

A look at the impending political turmoil after Abbas (PMW)

-PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is almost 86. He is now in the 17th year of his first four-year term as PA Chairman. In addition to being PA Chairman, Abbas is also the head of the PLO and the Fatah faction.

- In theory, after Abbas, the PA will need to hold elections to decide who will lead the organization.

- Palestinian opinion polls show that the leading candidate to replace Abbas is Marwan Barghouti, a terrorist convicted for his part in the murder of five people, who is currently serving five consecutive life sentences in an Israeli prison.

- In general elections, Hamas, an internationally designated terror organization, would most probably win control of the PA.

- In the absence of any real democratic culture, it is quite possible that Abbas will be replaced by one of the other Fatah leaders vying to inherit his position.

Secretary Blinken calls out UNRWA antisemitism in US Congress (Jerusalem Post)

Blinken referenced UNRWA educational materials that erase Israel from maps and praise terrorism and martyrdom

EU study finds incitement in Palestinian textbooks, kept from public Jerusalem Post)

Palestinian Authority textbooks encourage violence against Israelis and include antisemitic messages, according to an unpublished report commissioned by the European Union in 2019 and obtained by The Jerusalem Post.

The European Commission kept the report under wraps after receiving it from the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research earlier this year. Brussels directly funds the salaries of teachers and the publishers of textbooks, which, the report indicates, encourage and glorify violence against Israelis and Jews.

Terrorist blir offer i den palestinska versionen

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT
– footage shows one of the wounded Israelis with the knife still in his back,
moments after the attack

This week, a 17-year-old Arab teenager stabbed and wounded two Israelis. After the attack, one of the victims still had the knife sticking out of his back. The terrorist was shot and killed by an Israeli border patrol officer at the scene.

However, the PA and Fatah portray terrorist stabber Zuhdi Al-Tawil differently. According to their false narrative, the stabber was an innocent school boy, murdered in cold blood by Israel.

The PA completely inverted the events, declaring that terrorist Zuhdi Al-Tawil was the victim of an Israeli attack:

“Zuhdi Al-Tawil, a 17-year-old youth… was shot by the occupation forces and died as a Martyr yesterday [May 24, 2021,] in the French Hill area of occupied Jerusalem, after a stabbing operation by extremist Israelis.”

[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 25, 2021]

Referring to the image below, the official PA daily continued its portrayal of the terrorist as if he was an innocent young man, emphasizing that he was a young student who was unrightfully killed – “with his schoolbag next to him”:

[Website of Al-Jazeera Mubasher, May 24, 2021]

“Local sources said that the Martyr is an outstanding high school student in the sciences track… An image was published on social media of the Martyr on the ground handcuffed with his schoolbag next to him.”

[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 25, 2021]

Fatah likewise claimed that Israel invented the story of the boy’s stabbing attack “as a pretext” to shoot “a young man”. Fatah repeated the Palestinian claim that all reported stabbing attacks against Israelis are fake and made up as a “pretext” Israel “uses every time” to have an excuse to kill Palestinians:

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT – Disproving the Fatah TV host’s lie, footage shows one of the wounded Israelis with the knife still in his back, moments after the attack

Fatah-run Awdah TV host: “Today the occupation police killed a young man at the beginning of his life (i.e., terrorist, stabbed 2) on the pretext of carrying out a stabbing attack – which is a pretext that it (i.e., Israel) uses every time, while it is lenient with the settlers as they riot against the Palestinians, against our people.”

[Facebook page of the Fatah Commission of Information and Culture, May 24, 2021]

However, a Palestinian teenager attempting to murder Israelis should not be unexpected, as this is exactly what the PA/Fatah tell Palestinian youth they expect of them. As Palestinian Media Watch has exposed numerous times, it is the PA and Fatah that have taught Palestinian youth that achieving martyrdom-death while “defending” the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem from danger of “Judaization” is “the path to excellence and greatness” – and preferable to their studies...

Herb Keinon: "As tension mounted in Jerusalem in recent days because of Ramadan, the cancellation of Palestinian Authority elections, slated evictions from Sheikh Jarrah and Jerusalem Day celebrations, some called on Israel to be smart, not right. What did it mean to be smart in these circumstances? Postponing the Sheikh Jarrah evictions, temporarily barring Jews from the Temple Mount and diverting the traditional Jerusalem Day march away from both Damascus Gate and the Muslim Quarter in Jerusalem’s Old City so as not inflame an already combustible situation. And Israel was smart: It did all of the above. The Supreme Court hearing on the Sheikh Jarrah evictions was postponed until June 8, Jews were kept from the Temple Mount on Jerusalem Day on Tuesday, and on that same day the traditional flag procession to the Western Wall through Damascus Gate was diverted elsewhere. But it helped not a whit. Rockets were still fired on Jerusalem, and then they pounded the South. Riots broke out in the mixed Jewish-Arab cities of Haifa, Ramle and Lod, as well as in Arab cities in the Galilee. Arabs blocked roads in the South, and passing motorists were threatened and pelted with rocks..."

- With Abbas and his Fatah party leading the violent Palestinian rioting against Israel in the name of “protecting Jerusalem,” Hamas was left with no choice but to compete with Fatah by attacking Israel.
- Abbas demanded violence using the PA euphemism “peaceful popular resistance” – the Palestinian public understood
- Abbas’ Fatah: “The Fatah Movement with all its elements and leadership calls to continue this uprising” and calls “everyone to raise the level of confrontation in the coming days and hours in the Palestinian lands”
- Abbas’ Presidential Office Spokesman to Palestinians: “The battle of all battles has arrived… [the] “long struggle against a satanic colonialist force”
- The Fatah Revolutionary Council “called on all Fatah’s frameworks everywhere to act to support our people in occupied Jerusalem, who are fighting the occupation authorities’ incessant violations”

Varför är det oroligt i Jerusalem?

Herb Keinon ger fyra orsaker till oroligheterna i Jerusalem:

1) Ramadan

"...A 21-year-old from Sderot sustained a head injury while running to a shelter during a rocket siren. He was treated at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, where his condition was stable. Additionally, an 18-year-old woman suffered an acute anxiety attack because of the alarms and was treated at the same hospital, the medical center said. The IDF did not conduct retaliatory raids in response to the Saturday night attacks in an apparent bid to stave off further violence. Though not unprecedented, this was a relatively uncommon decision by the military, which tends to retaliate harshly to such attacks. Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade claimed responsibility for some of the rocket attacks on Friday night, while the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades took credit for attacks on both Friday night and Saturday night. Israel, however, formally holds the Hamas terror group responsible for all attacks from the Strip, seeing it as ultimately responsible for what goes on in the enclave.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades tied the rocket launches to the ongoing unrest in Jerusalem, where Arab residents of the capital have repeatedly clashed with police and attacked Jewish Israelis, and where Israeli far-right nationalists have staged violent, racist protests..."

"...The Palestinian factions have succeeded in their effort to turn the dispute over the inclusion of Jerusalem in the upcoming Palestinian elections into a major theme of their electoral campaigns, which are set to begin this Friday.
They are already competing for the title of the best “defenders of Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque” against alleged Israeli efforts to “Judaize” the city and alter the historical and legal status of the holy site.
The factions, specifically Fatah and Hamas, are also seeking to use the issue of Jerusalem as a distraction from the internal problems and challenges they are increasingly facing on the eve of the elections.
Israeli authorities, on the other hand, evidently underestimated the calls made by the factions and their leaders over the past few weeks to turn Jerusalem into a battlefield for “constant clashes” with the Israeli security forces and “settlers.”..."

France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy Back PLO-Sponsored Condemnation of Israel at UNHRC (UN WATCH)

"...The resolution was adopted by a vote of 22 to 6, with 8 abstentions. Bahrain was absent, which may have been deliberate. Those voting in opposition were Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Malawi and Togo. Brazil was the one to ask for a vote, preventing the text from being adopted by consensus.

“The fact that this resolution was literally written by the Palestinians, with co-sponsors that include Pakistan on behalf of the Islamic states as well as Venezuela’s Maduro regime, is clear from the text’s pervasive condemnation of Israeli actions, with no mention whatsoever of Hamas, Islamic Jihad or the Palestinian Authority,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a Geneva-based human rights organization.

“If the resolution were truly about Palestinian human rights, it would not have completely ignored Palestinian Authority abuses, including arbitrary killings, torture, and arbitrary detention,” said Neuer.

“Astonishingly, the resolution backed by numerous EU states included no reference whatsoever to abuses by the PA, which holds political prisoners and detainees, restricts freedom of the press and the internet, and uses violence, threats, arrests, interrogations and prosecutions to target journalists and dissidents.”

“In all of its six pages, the text further turned a blind eye to PA censorship and site blocking, interference with the rights of peaceful assembly and freedom of association, including harassment of human rights activists, as well as its restrictions on political participation. Nor was there any mention of PA corruption, violence and threats of violence motivated by antisemitism, or  violence and threats of violence targeting LGBT persons, and forced child labor,” said Neuer.

“Likewise, the text omitted any mention of Hamas’ systematic use of torture, oppression of women and LGBT persons, unlawful recruitment and use of child soldiers, and its arbitrary detention this year of Gaza peace activist Rami Aman.”

“In reality, the resolution is not really about Palestinian human rights, but about demonizing Israel. Any self-respecting democracy that supports human rights should have voted to oppose this outrageous text from the PLO.”

UNHRC arms embargo call against Israel passes with EU OK, Bahrain absence ()Jerusalem Post)

In Depth: Arafat Rejected Peace in 2000

"Introduction

Recent peace agreements between Israel and UAE, Bahrain and Sudan have changed the face of the Arab-Israeli conflict and revealed a pent-up frustration among Arab nations with the long-standing Palestinian veto on their ability to normalize relations with Israel.

Arab nations have not suddenly become “pro-Israel” or abandoned their support for a Palestinian state, but they are more willing to call out Palestinian mistakes and lack of gratitude for longstanding Arab support. This dynamic was starkly on display in a recent interview of Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia on Al Arabiya, a Saudi-owned television channel. Bandar spoke for over an hour, focusing on Palestinian leadership mistakes over the decades, capped off in the final part recounting the colossal error committed by Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat in rejecting a peace agreement with Israel in 2000-2001. Even though these events are twenty years old, Bandar puts it front and center, demonstrating its enduring importance in discourse about the conflict. This article will review the old and new evidence showing the tragedy of Arafat’s “no” response to an attractive peace deal, despite continued attempts by many to absolve Arafat and the Palestinians of fault..."

ICC Gives Itself Authority to Adjudicate Israeli “War Crimes:” What It Means (Honest Reporting)

"What is “international law”? As discussed many times by HonestReporting, international “law” is not a compilation of legislation in the classical sense but, rather, a collection of treaties according to which sovereign states have agreed to abide. In this case, the relevant treaty is the Rome Statute. However, Israel has never agreed to abide by this statute. Nor has the United States, for that matter. This means that in Friday’s ruling, the ICC has “given” itself the power to exercise authority over any sovereign nation, a notion that violates the very nature of international law itself. To put it differently, when nations agree to a treaty, that agreement can and should be enforced by bodies that the various nations have nominated for that purpose. However in this case, the ICC has determined that it is acceptable to impose a treaty even on countries that have never agreed to it....

...prosecutor Bensouda brought the question to a tribunal of three ICC judges to determine whether the ICC can exercise jurisdiction. The panel ruled 2-1 in favor of jurisdiction, with a strong dissenting opinion written by judge Judge Péter Kovács’...

...on Friday, the U.S. State Department under the Biden administration echoed the same underlying US position as the Trump administration, saying (emphasis added): As we made clear when the Palestinians purported to join the Rome Statute in 2015, we do not believe the Palestinians qualify as a sovereign state, and therefore are not qualified to obtain membership as a state, or participate as a state in international organizations, entities, or conferences, including the ICC. We have serious concerns about the ICC’s attempts to exercise its jurisdiction over Israeli personnel. The United States has always taken the position that the court’s jurisdiction should be reserved for countries that consent to it, or that are referred by the UN Security Council.”...

Blinken: US stands with Israel, ICC lacks jurisdiction to hold investigation (Jerusalem Post)

"...The United States firmly opposes and is deeply disappointed by this decision. The ICC has no jurisdiction over this matter," Blinken said in a statement issued early Thursday morning. "Israel is not a party to the ICC and has not consented to the Court’s jurisdiction, and we have serious concerns about the ICC’s attempts to exercise its jurisdiction over Israeli personnel."

Blinken also stressed that the Palestinians don't qualify as a sovereign state and therefore cannot participate in the ICC..."

Vissa producerar medvetet falska nyheter i t.ex alternativa media.

Osloavtalet:

ARTICLE 17

Health

1. Powers and responsibilities in the sphere of Health in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip will be transferred to the Palestinian side, including the health insurance system.

2. The Palestinian side shall continue to apply the present standards of vaccination of Palestinians and shall improve them according to internationally accepted standards in the field, taking into account WHO recommendations. In this regard, the Palestinian side shall continue the vaccination of the population with the vaccines listed in Schedule 3

6. Israel and the Palestinian side shall exchange information regarding epidemics and contagious diseases, shall cooperate in combating them and shall develop methods for exchange of medical files and documents.

Palestinians: We didn't ask Israel for COVID-19 vaccine (Jerusalem Post)

The Palestinians have not approached Israel for help in obtaining COVID-19 vaccines and are planning to purchase them on their own with the help of the international community, Palestinian and Israeli officials said on Sunday.

A senior official with the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health said that the Palestinians do not expect Israel to sell them, or purchase on their behalf, the vaccine from any country.

Agenda Item 7: Country Claims and UN Watch Responses

An examination of country statements delivered at the United Nations Human Rights Council under the agenda item concerning Israel.

INTRODUCTION

Every session of the UN Human Rights Council devotes a special agenda item to the “Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories,” which is defined by UNHRC Resolution 5/1 as covering “Human rights violations and implications of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and other occupied Arab territories.” The other nine items on the Council’s permanent agenda are all generic, and do not refer to any particular country or situation. There is no special agenda item on Iran, Syria, North Korea, or any other country. Only Israel.

Under the debate that takes place three times a year pursuant to Agenda Item 7, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, North Korea and dozens of other council members and observers routinely accuse Israel of numerous crimes and human rights violations, while making no mention of Hamas, Islamic Jihad or the Palestinian Authority.

The debate is entirely one-sided. Israel, the United States most other democracies no longer participate in the proceedings of Agenda Item 7, in protest against its selectivity. As a result, many claims enter the record at the United Nations despite having no basis in fact.

The purpose of this report is to remedy that situation by providing the first-ever examination of claims made under Item 7, and to provide a detailed analysis, citing to sources of fact and international law. The period covered in this report is the six UNHRC sessions held in 2019 and 2020.

CLAIMS EXAMINED IN THE REPORT

Claim 1: “Israel has occupied Palestinian territory for 70 years”

Claim 2: “Israel is responsible for the impasse in peace talks”

Claim 3: “Israel commits apartheid against the Palestinians”

Claim 4: “Israel commits ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians”

Claim 9: “Israel used excessive force against Gaza protesters”

Claim 10: “Israel commits extrajudicial killings”

Claim 11: “Israel arbitrarily detains Palestinian children”

Claim 12: “Israel arbitrarily withholds bodies of Palestinian ‘martyrs’”

Claim 13: “Israel withholds Palestinian funds under false pretext”

Claim 14: “Israel restricts the movement of Palestinians”

Claim 15: “Israel harasses Palestinian human rights defenders”

Claim 16: “Israel targets Palestinian media workers”

PA slow to secure Covid-19 vaccines, so it decides to blame Israel (PMW)

Timeline of the PA vaccine activities and libel blaming Israel:‎

Nov. 21, 2020:‎
PA meets with WHO, UNICEF, UNRWA “to ensure that Palestine is provided ‎with adequate Coronavirus vaccines” (Israel not invited)‎

Dec. 12, 2020:‎
PA orders “four million doses of the Russian vaccine… expected in Palestine by ‎the end of this year” (Israel's help not requested)‎

Jan. 9, 2021:‎
PA announces: “Four vaccine producer companies [will deliver for] 70% of the ‎Palestinian people… the WHO will provide for 20%” (Israel's help not needed)‎

Jan. 9, 2021:
PA announces: “Two million doses were ordered [from AstraZeneca]… we ‎received an official response from the company… [Also] the Russian company ‎Sputnik, and a vaccine was ordered… We are not just waiting… we are ‎working…” (Israel's help not needed)‎

Suddenly, after everything the PA was doing independently - it was time to blame Israel: ‎

Jan. 10, 2021:‎
PA Foreign Ministry demands that Israel “ supply the Palestinian people with ‎Coronavirus vaccines… [Israel is] racially discriminating against the ‎Palestinian people, and negating its right to health [services]… an apartheid ‎against the Palestinian people in the field of health” ‎

...While it is unclear why the PA’s planning is not satisfactory, apparently seeing Israel's success ‎obtaining vaccines, the PA then reverted to its default position:  ‎blaming and demonizing Israel. ‎
Finally, it should be noted that the Oslo Accords transferred full responsibility for the ‎health of Palestinians to the PA, which now has completely autonomous health ‎services, for which it receives significant international financial aid. Whereas, Israel ‎regularly supplies healthcare aid to the PA, as it did in the early months of the Covid-19 ‎crisis, Israel does this not out of obligation but out of its concern for the health of its ‎neighbors.‎

"Israel gave 100 doses of coronavirus vaccines to the Palestinian Authority as a “humanitarian gesture” a week and a half ago, the government informed the High Court of Justice on Wednesday.

The government’s acknowledgement followed a High Court petition filed by the family of Hadar Goldin, a soldier whose body is being held in Gaza by the Hamas terror group. Goldin’s family seeks to condition the entry of aid into Gaza — including coronavirus vaccines — on the return of their son’s body...

The issue of Israel’s legal responsibility to the Palestinians in a pandemic is highly contentious and hotly debated by international law experts. The 1995 Oslo II Accord delegates responsibility for health care to the Palestinian Authority. But the same treaty also obligates the two sides to cooperate in fighting epidemics."

As Israel’s world-leading coronavirus vaccination program makes international headlines, Human Rights Watch executive director Ken Roth took to Twitter to spread the lie that Israel is committing an act of racism by not vaccinating all Palestinians living under Hamas rule in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer explains why Roth’s claims are a deception:

PA PM insults Christianity by comparing Jesus to murderers and suicide bombers

PA PM insults Christianity by comparing Jesus to murderers and suicide bombers

Itamar Marcus  |

In a speech at a Christmas dinner, the PA’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, repeated the PA’s historically false narrative, turning Jesus into a “Palestinian.” He further insulted Christianity saying that Jesus was “the first Palestinian self-sacrificing fighter” and the one who taught Palestinians “Martyrdom-death”:

PA Prime Minister Shtayyeh: “Our lord Jesus, peace be upon him – the first Palestinian self-sacrificing fighter from whom we learned Martyrdom-death, and who paid for his mission with his life.”

[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 28, 2020]

The Prime Minister’s categorizations of Jesus are insulting to Christians and Christian tradition in many ways:

1. PA PM Shtayyeh: “Jesus… the first Palestinian self-sacrificing fighter”

The PA uses the expression “self-sacrificing fighter,” (Fida’i) for terrorists who have been fighting and murdering Israelis since 1965, including the most loathsome murderers. For example, Palestinian terrorist Ashraf Na’alwa shot and murdered his 2 Israeli coworkers, Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel, a young mother of a one-year-old infant, and Ziv Hajbi, a young father of three. Fatah glorified the murderer repeatedly including this post on its official Facebook page, which called him: "The legend, the heroic self-sacrificing fighter (Fida’i) Ashraf Na'alwa" [Official Fatah Facebook page, Dec. 13, 2018]

Defining Jesus who preached non-violence (see Matthew 5:39: “Do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also") as a "self-sacrificing fighter" in the category with Palestinian murderers is a desecration.

2. PA PM Shtayyeh: “Jesus … from whom we learned Martyrdom-death.”
The PA’s presentation of Jesus as one who taught Palestinians “Martyrdom-death,” is a grave insult to Christians as well, since the PA promotes Martyrdom-death as something to be aspired due to the rewards in Paradise, among which according to Islam’s tradition the “Martyr” marries 72 dark-eyed virgins. For example, this popular music video has been broadcast on Fatah and PA TV since 2017 right through 2020:

"God, grant us Martyrdom there (Al-Aqsa)...
A million grooms and brides at the celebration
have written the marriage contract in blood on the veil
(visual of suicide bomber)
A million grooms and brides at the celebration
have written the marriage contract in blood on the veil
(visual of another suicide bomber)
Filled with desire, they are going to the Paradise of immortals
to a wedding procession with angels
..."

[Many times on Fatah-run Awdah TV and official PA TV, from Dec. 11, 2017 - 2020]

Palestinian Media Watch has exposed repeatedly that the PA inculcates the ideal of becoming a “Martyr” for “Palestine” into the minds of the Palestinian population.

3. PA PM Shtayyeh:  Jesus was “a Palestinian”
This too is an insult to Christianity, as the Christian Bible clearly presents Jesus as a Jew living and interacting with other Jews in the nation of Judea.

Especially around Christmas time, but not exclusively, PA leaders repeatedly publicize their false PA narrative that Jesus was a “Palestinian.” Palestinian Media Watch recently published a collection of such statements, and since then, this falsification of history has continued:

Official PA TV host: “We wish the Palestinian people wherever they are happy holidays, health, and all the best. May we and you turn the coming years into a message of love, hope, and joy. A message of resolve and patience that characterized the first Palestinian, Jesus, peace be upon him.”

[Official PA TV, Palestine This Morning, Dec. 24, 2020]

4. Moreover, Shtayyeh linked Jesus’ Martyrdom to the “thousands of Martyrs” who have died for “Palestine”:

PA PM Shtayyeh: "The birthday of our lord Jesus... takes place at the same time as the anniversary of the outbreak of the Palestinian revolution (i.e., its first terror attack against Israel called “the Launch” of Fatah), for which thousands of Martyrs have paid with their lives."
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 28, 2020]

Linking Jesus to the thousands of Palestinian “Martyrs,” which is the term the PA uses to define all its suicide bombers as well as all terrorists who were killed while attacking Israelis, is yet an additional desecration of Christianity.
