Vem är jude?

PLO:s ambassaör i Chile, Imad Nabil Jada’a säger att det inte finns något judiskt folk.
Addressing members of the “Gran Logia” Masonic Lodge, Jada’a said that Palestinians “don’t recognize the existence of the Jewish people” as there is not, in fact, any such people.

Den israeliska ministern för religiösa frågor, David Azoulai säger å sin sida att personer som inte hör till den ortodoxa grenen av judendomen inte heller kan kallas för judar.
På sätt och vis ger minister Azoulai PLO ambassadören rätt. Båda verkar anse att det enbart handlar om religion när det skall definieras vem som är jude.
Premiärminister Netanyahu var snabb med att påpeka att detta inte var regeringens åsikt.
