I dag knivhöggs en judisk man, Ari Fuld, till döds nära Efrat söder om Jerusalem. En palestinsk yngling knivhögg honom i ryggen. Trots sina skador lyckades Ari Fuld följa efter och skjuta angriparen innan han kollapsade. Därmed förhindrade han antagligen att flera dödades eller skadades av terroristen.
Den palestinska terroristen fördes skadad till sjukhus.
Flera palestinska grupper, bland dem Hamas och Islamsk Jihad, har prisat attacken.
Den officiella palestinska nyhetsbyrån Wafa rapporterade om händelsen under rubriken: "Ockupationsmakten skadade tonåring söder om Betlehem".

Shortly before noon on Sunday, a Palestinian teenager stabbed Fuld outside a shopping mall near Efrat, at the Gush Etzion Junction south of Jerusalem.

25 år sedan Oslo-avtalet slöts
Det har gått 25 år sedan Osloavtalet skrevs under. Ett avtal som många hoppades skulle skapa fred mellan Israel och palestinierna.
Palestinian Media Watch har samlat citat av flera palestinska ledare som visar att från palestiniernas sida var det aldrig fråga om att skapa fred utan att skapa bättre förutsättningar för kampen mot Israel.

Today, September 13, is the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords. Prior to the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, Israel suffered from occasional terror orchestrated by the PLO terror organization, which was based 3,000 kilometers away in Tunisia. The signing of the Oslo Accords turned the PLO into Israel's close neighbor and enabled the establishment of Palestinian terror bases within striking distance of all Israeli cities. Since then, Israel has suffered from ongoing terror, terror campaigns, and terror waves. 1,600 Israelis have been murdered and tens of thousands have been injured from Palestinian terror since the Oslo Accords. For Israel, Oslo was a disastrous failure and an appalling tragedy.
Not so for the PLO and its administrative arm the Palestinian Authority. Since the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, the Palestinian Authority leadership has made it clear to their own people that the goal of Oslo was never a long-term peace with Israel. The model for Oslo, explained Yasser Arafat and many other PA leaders, was to mimic the "Treaty of Hudaybiyyah" - a 10-year peace treaty signed by Islam's Prophet Muhammad with the Quraysh Tribe of Mecca. The treaty did not last because two years after signing the treaty, Muhammad attacked, and conquered Mecca.
The first stage of Oslo, PA leaders have explained, was transferring the PLO's base - which had been in distant Tunisia - to be inside "Palestine," together with the building of a military infrastructure in order to resume violence against Israel. The return to violence was the goal from the beginning. Arafat told a journalist that Oslo eventually would cause the Israelis to "run away." The 5-year terror campaign, the "intifada," which for Israel was the proof of Oslo's failure, was for the PA the proof of Oslo's success.
Since the signing of Oslo and until today, Palestinian leaders have told Palestinians that "Palestine" is "from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea" and encompasses all of Israel. The goal of Oslo, they have explained, is to increase the land under Palestinian control in stages. Israel will eventually disappear and be replaced by "Palestine." ...

Arabiska ledare från Israel samarbetar med Israels fiender
Ledare från det arabiska partiet Joint List har varit i Kairo för att träffa generalsekreteraren för arabförbundet för att få arabförbundets stöd i deras kamp mot lagen som beskriver Israels som en judisk stat.
De arabiska ledarna är alltså beredda att samarbeta med arabförbundet, där flera av medlemmarna fortfarande är i krig med Israel, för att uppnå inrikespolitiska mål. De verkar göra allt de kan för att förstöra relationerna mellan araber och judar i Israel.
Inte har de heller några problem med att sprida lögner om lagens innehåll.

Joint List MKs Ahmad Tibi and Jamal Zahalka met in Cairo Tuesday morning with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and received his support in their international efforts against the controversial Nation-State Law.
Aboul Gheit told the MKs that the foreign secretaries of the countries in the Arab League would discuss the new law during a future meeting in Cairo, and would persuade other countries around the world to take action against Israel.
“This law is racist,” Aboul Gheit said. “In the past, Israel has presented itself as a democratic country. But [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu with this apartheid law has made Israel into a racist state.”
Tibi and Zahalka explained the ramifications of the law on the Arab sector and on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They told him the law creates “blatant racism against its Arab citizens and cancels any possibility of there being two states for two people.”

Nu kräver arabiska Knessetmedlemmar att EU skall fördöma Israel
Representanter för det arabiska partiet Joint List i Israel försöker fortsättningsvis förmå omvärlden att fördöma Israel. Nu har ledaren Ayman Odeh träffat EU:s utrikespolitiska ledare Federica Mogherini och försökt övertala henne att EU måste fördöma Israel på grund av lagen som beskriver Israel som en judisk stat.

Tanken på konfederation aktuell igen
Tanken på en konfederation mellan Jordanien, palestinierna på västbanken (och Gaza) och eventuellt Israel diskuteras som ett alternativ till tvåstatslösningen som inte ser ut att förverkligas inom en överskådlig framtid.
Abbas har uttalat sig positivt till tanken medan Jordanien har en negativ inställning. Det bör tilläggas att i det här skedet kan parterna ha väldigt olika åsikter om vad en konfederation skulle innebära.

USA avslutar sitt ekonomiska stöd till UNRWA
USA kommer att avsluta sitt ekonomiska stöd till flyktingorganisationen UNRWA. Men USA säger samtidigt att man kommer att söka nya vägar för att hjälpa palestinier som är i behov av hjälp.
Palestinierna är naturligtvis arga, de har vant sig vid att omvärlden skall se till att deras basbehov av t.ex. mat och skolgång uppfylls.
Många andra tycker att USA.s beslut var dåligt och det finns också de i Israel som är rädd att det skall öka på oroligheterna i området.
Faktum kvarstår ändå: Det är ohållbart att FN skall tillhandahålla ett eget flyktingorgan för palestinierna, som arbetar enligt helt andra regler än flyktingorganet som arbetar med resten av världens flyktingar.

Vad blev reaktionen? Jo, talesmannen för UNRWA Chris Gunness uppmanade i ett twittermeddelande till bojkott av Jerusalem Post på grund av "deras lögner".

3. Cancel the UNRWA war curriculum, based on principles of jihad, martyrdom and right of return by force of arms.
4. Demand that UNRWA schools conform to the UNRWA slogan: “Peace Starts Here.”
5. Dismiss UNRWA employees affiliated with Hamas, defined by the donor nations to UNRWA as a terrorist entity.
It is therefore the responsibility of the Palestinian people to rebel against the arbitrary administration of UNRWA, which seeks to perpetuate our refugee status instead of helping our people to strive for a better future.
