Samtidigt finns det 16 stater som inte tillåter personer med israeliskt pass att komma in i respektive land. Ingen verkar att förundra sig desto mer över det.
Exemplen är kanske inte direkt jämförbara. USA:s beslut grundar sig på att Obamaadministrationen klassade de sju staterna (Iran, Irak, Syrien, Sudan, Somalia, Libyen och Yemen) som högriskländer. Vissa av länderna har ingen fungerande regering andra stöder terrorism och t. ex. Sudan har en president om är efterlyst av Interpol för krigsförbrytelser.
Staterna som inte tillåter israeler har helt andra orsaker till förbudet, de erkänner helt enkelt inte nationen Israel.
Alla av de sju staterna ovan utom Somalia ingår i listan på de 16 stater som inte tillåter israeliska medborgare att komma på besök.
Ett nästan ännu sorgligare exempel på hur någon inte är önskvärd kommer från Canada.
En israelisk student Stav Doron ansökte om att få börja på Island School of Building Arts i British Columbia.
Han fick avslag på sin ansökan på grund av att han var israelisk medborgare... skolan ville följa sin moraliska kompass.
Efter omfattande protester ändrade skolan sig men Doron har av förståeliga skäl valt att inte börja i skolan.

However, when the time came to sign up for the course, Rokosh wrote back to Daron on January 25 that the school is "not accepting applications from Israel." She said the reason was "due to the conflict and illegal settlement activity in the region."
Daron responded to Rokosh that "It's really sad to hear that a place that takes pride in taking students from across the world would behave like this."
Rokosh wrote back in response that "It is sad that decisions being made halfway around the world impact us here as we have had a number of students from Israel attend the school in the past."
The email continued: "This is a question of staying in line with our moral compass, which will always be important to us. We are still inclusive and cannot support that which is not inclusive."
In his final email to the school, Daron wrote that "not taking applications from Israeli students just because they are from Israel is racism, which is basically what you are protesting against."
