Silver linings in an ongoing nightmare

I met with a group of Jewish leaders on a solidarity visit to Israel on Tuesday night, some of them here for the first time since October 7, and tried to give them a sense of what Israel has been going through since that blackest of days in the history of our modern state.

Touching on issues I’ve covered in these columns for almost six months, I told them that the scale of the political and military leadership failure that enabled the Hamas invasion and barbaric slaughter remains inexplicable and unfathomable; that we may never fully get over October 7; that while the IDF’s standing troops and reservists are fighting cohesively to dismantle Hamas as an organized army in Gaza, many of Israel’s pre-October internal divides have resurfaced.

We discussed the extent to which the conflict is widely misrepresented abroad — that October 7 has been airbrushed away; that Hamas’s misrepresentations are widely disseminated, including on issues as basic as its death toll summations, and that its manifest abuse of hospitals and mosques as military bases is glossed over; that Israel is blamed for the deaths of the noncombatants Gaza’s terror government uses to protect its gunmen.

We talked a little about the apparent growing inevitability of war in the north...

…Somehow, this remarkable people of ours, hundreds of thousands of whom constitute its army, I stressed to the group, has managed to both fight the war and maintain some semblance of what used to be normality...."

Säkerhetsrådets resolution och reaktionerna

 FN:s säkerhetsråd antog i går en resolution om läget i Gaza efter att USA beslöt att lägga ner sin röst.

Resolutionen är inte bra, det medger både USA och Storbritannien. Israel har visat sin frustration över resolutionen och riktat sin ilska mot USA som inte stoppade den. Det är nu kanske inte den klokaste vägen framåt. Resolutionen är inte bindande utan ett uttryck för medlemsländernas åsikter och kommer antagligen inte i praktiken att spela någon större roll utom att man kan hänvisa till den när det passar en.

Det som gör Israel så frustrerad är att man inte fördömer Hamas, som inte ens nämns i texten. Terrorattacker i andra länder fördöms av FN men när de sker i Israel är man tyst. Israels FN ambassadör jämförde läget med när Boko Haram kidnappade skolflickor i Nigeria och FN då fördömde Boko Haram, krävde att flickorna friges och terroristerna lägger ner sina vapen. Inget sådant finns med i resolutionen om Gaza. Är israelska barn mindre värda undrade ambassadören.

 Enligt Israel borde det också finnas ett krav på att de kidnappade friges innan man kan kräva en vapenvila.

Men det finns en sak i texten som jag tycker Israel kunde ta vara på och utnyttja. Det står att Säkerhetsrådet kräver en omedelbar och ovillkorlig frigivning av alla gisslan. Detta krav borde  israeliska diplomater banka in i huvudet på alla stats- och regeringschefer.

Enligt kravet borde de alltså redan ha frigetts, utan förhandlingar, omedelbart och ovillkorligt.

Vapenvilan kan inte träda i kraft omedelbart eftersom parterna måste komma överens om hur det skall gå till men inget hindrar att fångarna friges omedelbart som det krävs.

Hamas sade sig vara nöjd med resolutionen men sade i samma andetag att man håller fast vid alla sina tidigare krav. 

Hamas kommer inte att följa resolutionen och Israel kommer inte heller att göra det innan man kommit fram till en förhandlingslösning som är acceptabel ur deras synvinkel. Väldigt långt är det alltså bara ett slag i luften.

Hamas tolkar det redan på sitt eget sätt. Resolutionen talar inte om utväxling av fångar utan om en ovillkorlig och omedelbar frigivning av fångar.

Palestinian terror group Hamas said Monday night that it informed mediators that it will stick to its original position on demanding a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, a return of displaced Palestinians and a “real” exchange of “prisoners” — demands Israel has already rejected as delusional multiple times.

Text of Security Council Resolution 2728, demanding immediate ceasefire, immediate release of hostages

The Security Council,

Guided by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations,

Recalling all of its relevant resolutions on the situation in the Middle East,including the Palestinian question,

Reiterating its demand that all parties comply with their obligations underinternational law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and in this regard deploring all attacks against civilians and civilian objects, as well as all violence and hostilities against civilians, and all acts of terrorism, and recalling that the taking of hostages is prohibited under international law;

Expressing deep concern about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip,

Acknowledging the ongoing diplomatic efforts by Egypt, Qatar and the United States, aimed at reaching a cessation of hostilities, releasing the hostages and increasing the provision and distribution of humanitarian aid,

1. Demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire, and also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, as well as ensuring humanitarian access to address their medical and other humanitarian needs, and further demands that the parties comply with their obligations under international law in relation to all persons they detain;

2. Emphasizes the urgent need to expand the flow of humanitarian assistance to and reinforce the protection of civilians in the entire Gaza Strip and reiterates its demand for the lifting of all barriers to the provision of humanitarian assistance at scale, in line with international humanitarian law as well as resolutions 2712 (2023) and 2720 (2023);

3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.

EU parlamentariker vill inte veta sanningen om UNRWA

Vänsterpolitiker i EU parlamentet försökte stoppa Hillel Neuer från UN Watch  att berätta om UNRWA.

UN Watch har granskat UNRWA:s verksamhet i många år.

Vem ljuger om mathjälpen till Gaza?

 Alla, från mannen på gatan till USA:s president och FN:s generalsekreterare, kräver att Israel måste tillåta humanitära förnödenheter att komma in  till Gaza. Kravet bygger naturligtvis på tanken att Israel förhindrar hjälptransporterna.

Israel förnekar detta. Nu senast är det COGAT, israeliska försvarsministeriets avdelning som sköter civila ärendena på palestinska områden, som säger att Israel inte hindrar bistånd kommer in, man inspekterar hjälpen av säkerhetsskäl och det görs effektivt. Man  kan inspektera 44 lastbilar i timmen.

Israel har kapacitet att granska ytterligare 100 lastbilar per dag om hjälptransporterna ökar säger COGAT.

Någon ljuger eftersom båda versionerna av situationen inte kan stämma.

Hur kan man avgöra vem som ljuger?

I böckerna om Narnia av C.S. Lewis finns det en intressant episod där Susan och Peter

måste välja vem de skall tro på, Lucy eller Edmund. Lucy har berättat en osannolik och omöjlig historia medan Edmund förnekar den. För att få hjälp med frågan går de till professorn.

Han ställer frågan: Vem skulle ni rent erfarenhetsmässigt anse som den trovärdigaste, er syster eller er bror? Vem av dem håller sig striktast till sanningen?

Både Susan och Peter medger att Lucy är den mer trovärdiga, men det är ju omöjligt i det här fallet tillägger de.

Det är mer än jag vet säger professorn, men att anklaga någon, som man alltid funnit sanningsenlig, för lögn är allvarligt, ytterst allvarligt.

Professorn avlutar diskussionen: För ögonblicket och såvida inte ytterligare bevis företes, måste vi därför anta att hon talar sanning.

Vad kan vi lära härav?

Med över tjugor års erfarenhet kan jag säga att Israel är den mer trovärdiga, den som inte brukar ljuga.

Omvärlden, från mannen på gatan till FN och politiska ledare ljuger däremot ofta om saker som berör Israel.

T.ex. - Judarna har inte rätt att bosätta sig i Judéen och Samarien (trots att det är just det San Remo deklarationen och Nationernas Förbunds stadgar för Palestina mandatet ger dem rätt till)

- Israel måste dra sig tillbaka till 1967 års gräns ( det finns ingen gräns från 1967 och om vapenstilleståndslinjen man syftar på sägs det i vapenstilleståndsavtalet att det inte skall ha någon betydelse för en eventuell framtida gräns)

- Israel är en apartheidstat ( även araberna i Israel tillbakavisar detta påstående)

De som också annars ljuger om Israel och deras rättigheter säger att Israel förhindrar hjälp att komma in till Gaza.

Israel som enligt erfarenhet visat sig trovärdig förnekar detta.

Jag rekommenderar professorns åsikt: För ögonblicket och såvida inte ytterligare bevis företes, måste vi därför anta att Israel talar sanning.

Detta behöver inte betyda  att det inte skulle råda brist på mat i Gaza. Att distribuera hjälpen inne i Gaza har visat sig vara mycket utmanande. Det är ett krigsområde där både Hamas och andra väpnade gäng gett sig på  hjälptransporterna och lagt beslag på hjälpen, och där en civil myndighet saknas.

Hjälpbehovet är också stort eftersom en stor del av befolkningen i över 70 år vant sig vid att det är FN (UNRWA) som ser till att det finns mat. Det är något man inte själv behövt ta ansvar för. Det förfarandet är lika galet som om FN skulle förse karelarna i Finland och  alla deras ättlingar med mat och skolgång.

Matbristen behöver alltså inte alls var Israels fel, men som så ofta förr är det enklast och för många naturligast att skylla på Israel/judarna.

San Francisco Bay Area Islamic Scholar Dr. Yousef Al-Shehabi: October 7 Attack Was A 'Big Lie'; Allah Punished The Jews For Killing Prophets, Trying To Kill Jesus, Prophet Muhammad

San Francisco Bay area Islamic scholar Dr. Yousef Al-Shehabi, the president and founder of Alqarawiyyeen University discussed the Jews in two sermons posted on his YouTube channel. In a video posted on January 2, 2024 Dr. Al-Shehabi said that October 7 was a "big lie," intended to bring people's hearts towards the Jews. He said that the Jews are experiencing punishment from Allah. Al-Shehabi said that according to the Quran, the Jews killed the prophets, tried to kill Jesus and the Prophet Muhammad, so Allah humiliated them. In a sermon posted on February 19, he said that there is a "distinction" between the Jews and the Children of Israel, that the Jews in Israel today are mostly descendent from Khazars who converted to Judaism in the 19th century.

Forty Years After Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Withdrew From Lebanon, Hamas Working To Build Military Infrastructure There With Hizbullah's Encouragement

Since the start of the war between Israel and the Palestinian factions in Gaza, Israel has also been facing attacks from South Lebanon. In addition to attacks by Hizbullah (whose presence in South Lebanon violates UN Security Council Resolution 1701, banning the presence of armed militias south of the Litani river), and by other Lebanese organizations,[1] Palestinian factions like Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) have been active as well. Their attacks, which include attempts to infiltrate  Israeli territory and the firing of long-range missiles, indicate the existence of a Palestinian military infrastructure in Lebanon.   

Hamas and the PIJ have essentially established branches of their military wings in the country, and built a military infrastructure both inside and outside the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. They have thereby turned South Lebanon, or the country as a whole, into another arena for Palestinian military action, waged not only by Palestinian and Lebanese operatives, but by fighters from other countries as well. In fact, Hamas recently announced the establishment of an official new affiliate in Lebanon, the Vanguards of the Al-Aqsa Flood organization. Shortly before the October 7 attack, the PIJ likewise announced the establishment of a military branch in Lebanon.  

Jordanian Journalist: Hamas' October 7 Attack, Taking Of Israeli Hostages Are Not Terror But Legitimate Acts Of Resistance To Occupation

In an article in the London-based Qatari daily Al-Arabi Al-Jadid, Jordanian journalist Hilmi Al-Asmar writes that Hamas' October 7 attack, in which some 1,200 people were murdered and 241 were taken hostage, was not an act of terror but a legitimate act of resistance to the Israeli occupation that is sanctioned by international law. The taking of the Israeli hostages is likewise legitimate resistance according to international law and international conventions, he says. Al-Asmar explains that the Gaza Envelope area – which, it must be stressed, is not part of the territories occupied by Israel in 1967 – is occupied land that belongs to the refugees who were expelled to the Gaza Strip. Therefore, these refugees are not only entitled but obligated by law to resist the occupation. He also comes out against the Western countries and the Arab regimes that regard Hamas and other Palestinian organizations as terrorist and deny their right to resist the occupation.

Brussels-Based Palestinian Activist Amjad AbuKoush: We Are Paying The Price For 17 Years Of Hamas Policies; Al-Jazeera TV Wants The Bloodshed To Continue So It Can Garner More Viewers And More 'Likes'; Qatar Has Taken Over Palestinian Decision-Making

Brussels-based Palestinian activist Amjad AbuKoush posted a video on his Facebook page on March 7, 2024, in which he voiced severe criticism of Hamas, Al-Jazeera, and Qatar. He said that Palestinians are paying the price for Hamas's policies throughout the past 17 years. AbuKoush said that Hams has declared that this is a "victorious" war for the liberation of Jerusalem, but its maximal demands in its negotiations are that Israel withdraws from Gaza and the Strip is rebuilt, while Israel was not in Gaza prior to the war and the Strip did not need rebuilding then. He added that Hamas gave the "filthiest and lowest occupation in history" a pretext because of their "stupidity."

AbuKoush continued to say that both Netanyahu and Hamas have no incentive to reach an agreement. He slammed Hamas for creating a "chasm" with Arab countries, such as Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, which cannot be expected to support Hamas now after they were treated poorly by Hamas. AbuKoush said that it seems as though Al-Jazeera does not want the bloodshed to stop. He added that Qatar is a small county that gains its role in the world by appropriating Palestinian decision-making and that the only way to sustain its role is with more Palestinian blood. AbuKoush said: "As Palestinians, we have the right to reject this, we have the right to say: Stop it, you bastards!"

Poem Published In Qatari Daily In Response To American Initiative For Gaza Aid Port Calls On Palestinians To Perpetrate 'April 7 Attack In Tel Aviv'

In a poem he published in the Qatari daily Al-Watan, Palestinian columnist Samir Al-Barghouti calls on the Palestinians to "cause the outbreak of an April 7 [attack] in Tel Aviv" (i.e., an attack similar to Hamas' October 7 massacre) in response to the U.S. initiatives of parachuting food into Gaza and of building a temporary port there for the delivery of aid. In the poem Barghouti writes that "nobody dies of hunger" and that the Palestinians must "blow up anything within reach," " fill the crossings with fire," and "set the waters of the Mediterranean ablaze, from Rafah [in the south] to Ras Nakura [in the north]." They must also teach their children to "carry gear even as they learn to speak," he writes.

The publication of this poem is part of Qatar's ongoing support for Hamas and of the incitement to violence and terror against Israel in the Qatari media.[1] It is also an expression of Qatar's displeasure with America's Gaza port initiative.

Hamas Spokesman Husam Badran To Afghan Media: 'It Is The Same Resistance And Jihad That Exists In The Land Of Palestine, And It Will Completely End The Occupation, 

...Husam Badran: "The responsibility for all the martyrs and victims rests only with Israel. Occupation is the main cause of all these; and this occupation is the cause of all chaos and injustice in our region... In the last 20 years, 25,000 of our people have been martyred... Therefore, the whole case should be clear to the entire Afghan nation and the world that the Israeli occupation is the cause of all the troubles, and Israel is responsible for all the blood that has been or will be shed."

Svårt att få uppenbart fel uppgifter ändrade i tidningsartikel

 Den 9 mars publicerade Hufvudstadsbladet en krönika av Matilda Flemming: Analys: I Gaza saknas den moraliska kompassen

Flemming påstod att  "Israels angrepp på Gaza har varit de dödligaste i någon konflikt någonsin, enligt Oxfam" . 

HBL måste sätta in en rättelse: Rättelse 12.3 kl. 12.00: Meningen "Israels angrepp på Gaza har varit de dödligaste i någon konflikt någonsin, enligt Oxfam" har tagit bort. Det har förekommit konflikter med betydligt fler dödsoffer.

Flemming skriver också : "Enligt FN:s människorättsexperter utgör for tillfället Gazaborna 80 procent av alla människor som drabbas av svält eller katastrofal hunger i världen. "

Ännu en rättelse behövs till krönikan av Matilda Flemming.

Flemming skriver: "Enligt FN:s människorättsexperter utgör for tillfället Gazaborna 80 procent av alla människor som drabbas av svält eller katastrofal hunger i världen."

 

 Röda Korset skriver såhär: "Ungefär var tionde person i världen går hungrig. Ofattbara 800 miljoner människor. Tre miljoner små barn dör varje år till följd av hunger och matbrist."

 

Tre miljoner barn dör av svält i världen, därtill kommer de vuxna. Gazas totala befolkning är lite över 2 miljoner så Flemmings och FN:s människorättsexperters siffror är väldigt långt från verkligheten!

 

Ännu ett exempel från Rädda Barnen:

Enligt FN lider 345 miljoner människor av akut undernäring, en siffra som har mer än fördubblats sedan 2019. Dessutom är 50 miljoner i 45 länder på gränsen till svält.

En kombination av konflikt och klimatförändringar har drivit undernäring till rekordhöga nivåer. De länder som är hårdast drabbade är Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Kongo, Etiopien, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, Sydsudan, Sudan, Syrien, Venezuela och Jemen. I Syrien har ökningen varit störst. Där behöver två av tre personer nu hjälp med att få mat för dagen.

FN:s människorättskommissionär rapporterar faktiskt just så som Matilda Fleming skriver: "Gazans now make up 80 per cent of all people facing famine or catastrophic hunger worldwide". https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2024/01/over-one-hundred-days-war-israel-destroying-gazas-food-system-and

Några räkneexempel:

 

Enligt Röda Korset dör 3 miljoner barn årligen av svält. Någon högre grad av svält kan knappast finnas. Varje dag dör alltså 3.000.000 : 365 = 8219 barn av svält

Enligt FN:s mänskorättsråds uppgifter borde då 80% av dem dö i Gaza vilket betyder 6575 barn per dag. Sådana lögner har inte ens Hamas kommit med!

Enligt TV-Nytt igår har 23 barn i Gaza dött av undernäring de senaste  veckorna. (https://areena.yle.fi/1-66870579)

Om vi räknar med att det  betyder 1 per dag blir det ungefär 0,0001 % av dödsoffren i världen.

 

FN:“Currently every single person in Gaza is hungry," (det betyder ca 2,3 miljoner)

Röda Korset: Ungefär var tionde person i världen går hungrig. Ofattbara 800 miljoner människor.

80% av 800 miljoner är 640 miljoner och som sagt Gazas befolkning ca 2,3 miljoner.

Även om alla i Gaza går hungriga är det bara ca 0,3 promille av alla hungriga i världen.

 

FN: "...a quarter of the population are starving and struggling to find food and drinkable water, and famine is imminent "(övers. hungersnöd nära förestående). (Alltså ca 575 000 personer )

Rädda Barnen: Enligt FN lider 345 miljoner människor av akut undernäring, en siffra som har mer än fördubblats sedan 2019. Dessutom är 50 miljoner i 45 länder på gränsen till svält.

De 575 000 i Gaza utgör då ca 1 % av alla i världen som är på gränsen till svält.

 

Det får räcka som exempel och redan exemplet med barnen visar att FN:s människorättsråds påstående är absurt.

 

 

Det är i och för sig inte förvånande eftersom FN:s mänskorättsråd är det mest Israelfientliga organisationen inom FN, och inget den säger som handlar om Israel kan tas på allvar. I deras uttalande sägs ju också att Israel infört en total belägring av Gaza så att varken mat, vatten eller medicin kommer in. Faktum är att under hela kriget har i medeltal mer än 100 lastbilar med hjälp per dygn kommit in i Gaza.

Uttalandet använder ordet folkmord, och nämner inte med ett ord Hamas. Varför anses inte Hamas skyldig till den dåliga situationen kan man fråga sig, det var ändå de som startade kriget och håller igång det genom att vägra frige de kidnappade israelerna och lägga ner sina vapen. Kriget har faktiskt två parter.

 

För övrigt skulle människorättsrådet vara ett bra undersökningsobjekt  för journalister. Varför fördöms Israel av rådet mer än alla andra stater tillsammans, varför har rådet en speciell agenda som bara behandlar Israel varje år, osv?

Därefter inga fler e-brev och texten står kvar i Flemmings krönika.

Jag tror knappast att föräldrarna till de tre miljoner barn som årligen dör av svält skulle hålla med  Kalle Silfverberg: "Uppenbarligen är de allra flesta hungriga personerna i världen inte lika hårt drabbade, dvs inte lika högt på skalan.

Svält eller inte svält, det är frågan

 HBL: USA: ”Första gången hel befolkning står inför svält”

– Enligt den mest respekterade mätmetoden står 100 procent av befolkningen i Gaza inför allvarliga nivåer av akut livsmedelsbrist. Det är första gången en hel befolkning har klassats så, säger utrikesminister Blinken under en pressträff i Filippinernas huvudstad Manila, där han befinner sig.

Blinken jämför situationen i Gaza med Sudan och Afghanistan, där 80 respektive 70 procent av befolkningen beräknas vara i behov av humanitärt stöd..."

Om det faktiskt är så att 100% avbefolkningen i Gaza lider av akut livsmedelsbrist trots att mer än 100 lastbilar med livsmedel dagligen transporteras in till området borde man kanske tänka över vad man håller på med.

Om all hjälp försvinner och inte är till någon hjälp kanske man borde  hjälpa  andra svältande, där det gör någon nytta.

För övrigt blir det lite motsägelsefullt när HBL också publicerat en artikel om en familj som utsattes för ett bombangrepp medan de höll på med att förbereda kvällsmåltiden som avslutar dagens ramadanfasta. Har man mat eller inte kan man fråga sig.

Om man räknar om Blinkens siffror från procent till absoluta tal blir de hungrande 80 % i Sudan till 36 miljoner och 70 % i Afghanistan blir 28 miljoner. 

Båda länderna har alltså mer än 10 gånger fler hungrande än Gaza, som får all uppmärksamhet.

Text-TV väljer Hamas propaganda framom israelisk undersökningsrapport

 Fredagen den 15 mars besköts människor som väntade på en hjälpsändning i norra Gaza.

Hamas påstod  att Israel i attacken dödat ett tjugotal personer och skadat 150

Efter en snabb undersökning konstaterade IDF på eftermiddagen att Israel inte avlossat ett enda skott mot hjälpkonvojen.

I finsk text -tv kunde man ändå på kvällen läsa en nyhet som helt baserade sig på Hamas uttalande.

"I Gaza har åtminstone 20 personer som köade för att få hjälpförnödenheter dödats av israelisk eldgivning..."

Den sista raden nämner att Israel dementerat uppgiften.

Man kan fråga sig varför Yle väljer att publicera propaganda från Hamas i stället för undersökningsresultat från Israel!

När Israel brutalt attackerades  av terroristorganisationen Hamas den 7 oktober reagerade omvärlden snabbt.  EU parlamentet, USA och statsledare krävde att Hamas måste elimineras. Nu fem månader senare målar politiska ledare och media upp en bild av kriget i Gaza som något av det värsta världen upplevt och kräver  en vapenvila som i praktiken låter Hamas bli kvar vid makten. 

Den humanitära situationen i Gaza, med ca 2 miljoner invånare, utmålas som en katastrof enastående i sitt slag.  Men enligt Röda Korset dör 3 miljoner barn i vår värld årligen av svält, 345 miljoner människor lider av akut hunger och 800 miljoner har brist på mat. Bara i Sudan finns det på grund av kriget 25 miljoner som är i behov av humanitär hjälp och 7 miljoner flyktingar. 

 

Hamas offrar medvetet civila i kriget, det tjänar deras syften. Militära experter säger att Israel däremot  gjort mer än vad andra arméer skulle göra för att skydda civila. Dödsoffrens antal är med tanke på omständigheterna inte ovanligt högt. När USA ledda styrkor bekämpade IS i städer i Irak varierade de civila dödsoffrens andel mellan 1- 3 civil per dödad soldat. Utgående från de uppgifter som Hamas och Israel lämnat är de civilas andel i Gaza ungefär 1/1.

Uppgifter om dödsoffrens antal i Gaza är synnerligen osäkra. Professor i statistik, Abraham Wyner, påstår att de siffror som Hamas ger angående dödsoffer är en statistisk omöjlighet. I bästa fall är de manipulerade i värsta fall påhittade, säger han.

 

Det totala antalet dödsoffer i Gaza är enligt Hamas ca 30.000. Det är bara ca 3 % av dödsoffren i arabiska krig under 2000-talet, Jemen 150.000, Syrien 500.000, Darfur 300.000 dödsoffer. 

När man ser sammanhanget och proportionerna måste man fråga sig: Varför denna ensidiga fokusering och överdrifter angående läget i Gaza?

Omvärlden krävde att Hamas måste elimineras. Israel har tagit på sig uppgiften, offrat hundratals soldater och gjort stora ekonomiska uppoffringar i kriget mot Hamas. Ändå vänder sig stora delar av världen mot Israel. Antisemitiska attacker har ökat dramatiskt, judar kan inte röra sig tryggt på gatorna i Europa, det kommer krav på bojkott av israeliska artister och idrottsmän, folk demonstrerar och visar sitt hat mot Israel, inte mot terroristorganisationen Hamas.

Hamza, en palestinsk fredsaktivist  som nu lever i exil efter att ha suttit i fängelse i Gaza säger i en intervju att problemet med Israels tidigare operationer i Gaza var att de inte då gjorde slut på Hamas. Nu betalar både palestinier och israeler för det, säger han

   Det visar på vikten av att omvärlden håller sig till fakta och stöder Israel. Blir Hamas kvar vid makten har vi något mycket värre framför oss.

Abu Sido continued to say that the Jews distorted the Torah.

Former Lebanese MP Fadi Al-Awar said on a February 18, 2024, show on Al-Manar TV (Lebanon-Hizbullah) that the reason the Jews are leaving their country is that "it offers them nothing but death, because they are plunderers." He added that it is an "imperative process in history" that the Jews will flee to "where they came from." Al-Awar said that the Jewish people are "incapable of integrating in society." He added that anyone who studies the Jewish and Talmudic mentality knows that the Jews are capable of doing worse than what they are doing in Gaza. When the show's host said that the Jews are killing children in Gaza, Al-Awar replied that they were doing the same thing to the Europeans before they had banished the Jews.

Mousa Abu Marzouk of the Hamas Political Bureau was asked in a February 22, 2024 interview on Alghad TV [Egypt] if Hamas's Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades had any expectations regarding the consequences of the October 7 attack. Abu Marzouk said that "nobody in the whole world" could have expected such a "barbaric" response by Israel. He added that nobody could have anticipated that the U.S., Britian and other Western countries would unite to wage war against Hamas.

While Qatar serves as a mediator in negotiations between Israel and Hamas, the Qatari state  press  continues to publish incitement against Israel and to praise Hamas' October 7, 2023 terrorist attack, as it has done since the day of the attack itself.[1] The Qatari press regularly prints articles, reports and cartoons expressing hope for Israel's demise, which refer to the country as n "Western product" or as a "Zionist-Crusader" and "imperialist" enterprise and contend that only more operations like the October 7 attack will stop it from realizing its plan to expand "from the Nile to the Euphrates." An article by a Hamas official on the website of Qatar's Al-Jazeera channel called the attack "a scaled-down model of the final war of liberation and the disappearance of the Zionist occupation."

Ramadan – The Month Of Jihad And Martyrdom

Against the backdrop of the demand that Israel stop the fighting in Gaza during Ramadan (which will begin in mid-March) because it is a sacred month of fasting, it is pertinent to recall that the jihad organizations regard Ramadan not only a month of abstention and worship but also as the month of jihad and martyrdom. According to Muslim tradition, during Ramadan Allah grants the Muslims glorious victories, as exemplified by the fact that the great battles of Islam, such as the Battle of Badr in 624, the conquest of Mecca in 630, the conquest of Andalusia in 711, the battle of Ein Jalut in 1260, and the October 6, 1973 "War of Ramadan" fought by Egypt against Israel, as well as other victories – all occurred during Ramadan. The last night of Ramadan, Laylat Al-Qadr, has been marked over the years by many terrorist attacks.

This religious perception is reflected in sermons and statements by prominent Islamic religious leaders, who stress that Ramadan is the month of jihad, conquest, and victory in Islam, and is also found in schoolbooks for children[1]. It is also reflected in increased military activity by the jihadi and terrorist Islamic movements around the world, which use the religious and spiritual atmosphere of this month, and the legacy of Ramadan battles and victories in Islamic history, to encourage and perpetrate intensive terrorist activity.

När något ont händer skyller man på judarna

 Judehatet är så stort att man allmänt antar att när något ont händer så är det judarnas fel.

FN:s säkerhetsråd var i går beredd att anta ett uttalande som konstaterade att kaoset som utbröt när en hjälpkonvoj anlände till norra Gaza berodde på att israeliska styrkor öppnade eld.

Det finns inga fakta som stöder detta uttalande, tvärtom. Om det faktiskt är så att också Storbritannien och Frankrike var beredd att rösta för ett sådant uttalande är det mer än beklagligt. Malta, Slovenien och Schweiz är de övriga europeiska staterna som nu är medlemmar i Säkerhetsrådet.

USA stoppade uttalandet från att antas.

Om man tänker rent logiskt så finns det inga orsaker för Israel att skada civila som stormade fram mot hjälpkonvojen.

Däremot skulle Hamas ha allt att vinna på att människorna som kom för att få hjälp dödades. Det ser vi också av reaktionerna från omvärlden. Pressen på Israel ökar ytterligare. (Därmed inte sagt att Hamas direkt stod bakom dödandet.)

Our UAVs were there in the air to give our forces a clear picture from above.”

“At 4:45 a.m., a mob ambushed the aid trucks, bringing the convoy to a halt,” he said, showing a new video of the incident.

“In this video, the tanks that were there to secure the convoy saw the Gazans being trampled and cautiously tried to disperse the mob with a few warning shots,” he said. “When the hundreds became thousands and things got out of hand, the tank commander decided to retreat to avoid harm to the thousands of Gazans that were there.”

“You can see how cautious they were when they were backing up. They were backing up securely, risking their own lives, not shooting at the mob,” he continued, insisting that the army “operates according to the rules of engagement and international law.”

“No IDF strike was conducted toward the aid convoy,” Hagari said. “On the contrary, the IDF was there carrying out a humanitarian aid operation, to secure the humanitarian corridor, and allow the aid convoy to reach its distribution point, so that the humanitarian aid could reach Gazan civilians in the north who are in need.”
