Modern bjöd på godis för att fira sonens martyrdöd och sade sig hoppas att hennes övriga söner skall följa i broderns fotspår. Därefter drog hon fram en kniv och hotade med att "mina gärningar kommer att tala bättre än mina ord".
I Gaza hotade man vid fredagsbönen att återuppta självmordsbombningarna mot Israel och på västbanken har man namngett en väg efter mördaren Muhannad Halabi som tog livet av två personer i Jerusalem den 3 oktober.

In an October 23 Friday sermon in Gaza, Abu Hamza 'Ashur raised an
explosives belt in the mosque, saying: "The next martyrdom-seeking
operations will be carried out with explosives belts... By Allah, we
will annihilate you with it. We will turn you into lifeless corpses and
into scattered body parts." The sermon was posted on the Internet.
Following are excerpts: Abu Hamza Ashour: The time for demonstrations and rallies is over, and so is the time for pleading for help. It is now the time to harvest, the time for operations, the time for swords, bloodshed, and the puling of the trigger. Oh son of the West Bank rage! By Allah, only rage will liberate this land. Oh people of the West Bank, kill them! Poison your daggers, and then stab or slaughter them. Blow them up, shed their blood, pounce on them, dismember them, paralyze them, make the earth quake under their feet, trample on their heads. […] The next martyrdom-seeking operations will be carried out with explosives belts. Abu Hamza Ashour holds up an explosives belt This is what awaits you. This is what is being prepared for you. This is your nightmare. This is what the mujahideen are preparing for you. […] By Allah, we will use it to turn you into body parts, and we will send you messages written in blood.
